A heartfelt thank you to our ESCRS community!
Dear colleagues, dear friends of ESCRS,
What a special week in London!
On behalf of ESCRS, and on a personal note, I would like to thank you all very warmly for making the 44th Congress of the ESCRS such a vibrant and successful gathering.
More than 17,000 people gathered in London to share knowledge, learn from one another, discuss new ideas and look ahead to the future of our field.
A Congress of this size is not defined by a strong scientific programme alone. What really makes it work are the people who take part: our speakers and moderators, young colleagues, researchers, nurses and technical professionals, our industry partners, and, of course, everyone who came to London ready to contribute, listen and exchange ideas.
I was particularly struck by the openness and energy throughout the Congress.
London provided a wonderful setting for these days. I very much hope that, alongside the intensive scientific programme, you also found time for old friends, new acquaintances, and perhaps one or two special moments in this extraordinary city.
Our commitment to sustainability remains an important part of how we continue to develop our congresses. With #MissionZero, we aim to combine our commitment to scientific quality with our responsibility to the environment and to future generations.
For registered participants, the Congress content will remain available on the virtual platform. Photos and further impressions are also available on the ESCRS social media channels.
Above all, I would like to say one thing: thank you for being there. Thank you for contributing, for asking questions, for sharing ideas, and simply for being part of these days in London.
I am already looking forward to seeing many of you again at the ESCRS Winter Meeting 2027 in Cairo and the Annual Congress 2027 in Madrid.
Until then, I hope some of the energy and inspiration from these days in London has stayed with you!
Burkhard Dick
ESCRS President
